How do I register?

To register for Colorsmacked!, click a “Register Now” button for an event in your location, or log onto imATHLETE.com and search for a Colorsmacked! event.

So, how much moolah do I have to dish out for this epic event?

It’s true; the early bird gets the worm. For this obstacle race, regular registration will start at $50, and climb to $60 two weeks before the race. Sign up in a team (2 or more people) and save an additional $5 per person

Will the color stain my skin, hair, clothes, and car?

The powder is a mixture of cornstarch and non-toxic, washable dye. Dust yourself off as much as possible before getting in your car. You might also consider bringing a change of clothes and towels to protect your car. If you are really worried about your hair put leave-in conditioner in before the race. Everything should wash right out, but there is a chance the powder will lightly stain fabrics like your t-shirt. If you want keep that color preserved in your shirt as a permanent momento of awesomeness, soak it in vinegar before throwing it in the wash. 

Is a team required?

Not at all.  Get Smacked solo or color your whole awesome family, but signing up with at least one other person gets you both an extra $5 off! A minimum of 2 people is required for a team, and there is no limit. The first team member to sign up must create the team name and then direct his/her other team members to select the team name when signing up.

What is the minimum age to participate?

All ages are welcome! Kids 6 and under run free. To sign your child up you must check the box that you are registering someone other than yourself. Another box will appear that asks if you are signing up your own child or another minor. You must also check this box. Fill out your child’s information and when you check out you will be required to pay the $5 insurance fee.

Can I swap my registration with someone else?

Yes.  Registration swapping flies with us!  All trades must be made 5 days prior to race day. Just log onto imATHLETE.com and cancel your registration.  You will then receive a coupon code to give to another Color hungry friend for them to use when they register on imATHLETE.com.

Is there a refund if I am unable to participate?

Yes.  If the event is sold out, you must cancel at imATHLETE.com 5 days prior to the race.  If it’s not sold out, you can cancel up to 1 day prior to the race.  With either cancellation, you will receive a 100% discount code that you may use within 12 months for any other Ugly Dog event.

Can anyone participate?

Everyone is invited to get ColorSmacked!  After your first smacking you will be saying, “Thank you sir, may I have another?”  Run, walk, crawl, or dance–we don’t care. We’ve got plenty of Color to Smack you with!

Ok, so what do I wear to get ColorSmacked!?

We want to see you in your cleanest white t-shirt!  Ok, it doesn’t have to be all that clean, but at least make it white.  Remember, you are the canvas that we will be painting our masterpieces on, so show up looking boring and go home colorful.  Feel free to dress in your costume best.  But for the Love of God people, keep it clean, there will be children present!

I get to have an awesome time, but does anyone else benefit?

Actually, Yes! At ColorSmacked!, we are as passionate about helping others as we are about making sure that you have one crazy colored day. Every event we do donates money to local special needs charities. We even let you add in a little something extra to make you feel even better. So go ahead get crazy, get colored, and make this world a better place at the same time!

Sure I’m excited about getting ColorSmacked!, but tell me about the stuff I get.

As if hours of fun, bright colors, and awesome music wasn’t enough, you will also get a shirt and some extra colored powder.  Bottom line: you’re set to have one amazing day!

Bring your own watch, but prepare for it to get ColorSmacked!

Hey, can I bring anyone to watch me?

Sure!  The more the merrier.  Bring your girlfriend, ex-girlfriend, your baby momma–we just ask that you don’t bring them all at once.  We are trying to keep our security costs down and don’t need any hair pulling cat fights!  Wait…on second thought bring them all. We are a little short on viral videos.

I never go anywhere without my dog.  Can they participate? 

Do you really want to step in a big steaming pile of dog poop?  No!  And neither do our thousands of other happy smackers, so leave Fido at home please.

I’d prefer not to lug my kids around, so can I bring a stroller?

Definitely, just be aware that you will be hit with colored powder so we suggest bringing a cover to protect your little one.  Most of the powder should come off after a good hose down, but your stroller may end up a little more colorful as a result.  Don’t say we didn’t warn you!
